Job Title: Support Worker (Bank) 

Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire 

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Hours: Bank contracts

Our service in Hinckley has been designed to support individuals who are ready to move on from home or a residential environment into a more independent, supported living environment. Everyone living here will be encouraged and supported on their journey to independent living

 

 

Your day will be filled with fun activities, social engagement and providing one to one support for adults with mental health, learning disabilities and autism. You will take our people out on adventures, assist with daily tasks and encourage them to live their lives to the fullest!

 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working with challenging behaviours and mental health and you will be passionate about promoting peoples' independence, enabling them to live their best lives.

Full training provided!

You will play a key role in the service; using your knowledge and skills to work as part of a team, providing support for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health, and autism.

You will be responsible for helping with the challenges of everyday life, such as:

  • Aiding with household and domestic tasks, including cooking and meal preparation.
  • Assisting with budgeting and shopping.
  • Supporting our people to access the community; including social activites and appointments
  • Supporting with personal care.
  • Assisting with medication.
  • Encouraging and promoting independence

All in all, enabling our people to live their best lives!
