About the role

This position will be supporting Thomas, a young man living in his own bungalow, based in Winchester. Thomas is currently supported on a 1:1 support ratio and is looking for team members who can support him to live his best life!

Thomas has autism and chronic anxiety and therefore experience of having supported individuals within these areas previously would be extremely beneficial. Thomas needs team members who are patient, organised, positive and who can maintain a structured routine for him as he likes to be prompt with his activities and outings. He needs individuals who are drivers as he has his own vehicle, which he likes to be taken out in.

Thomas attends a Day Centre 3 days per week for 5 hours and therefore there are certain times of the day where he doesn't require his support workers and rota's will work around these hours.

Thomas enjoys using his computer and listening to his radio, he is self sufficient in many tasks but may need support with online shopping (both his food and fun items), tasks within the home, cooking and supporting with medication.

A change in routine can really impact Thomas, therefore he needs team members who can reassure him, be patient and support him through any times of change or periods of anxiety.
