Job Title: Support Worker - BSL
Location: Thanet, Kent
Salary: £11.44 per hour
Hours: Full time
Must understand BSL (British sign language).
Aspirations Care are looking for a Support Worker to join the team our service in Margate. You will be supporting one of our amazing young gentlemen, building up a great relationship with him and helping him live his best life! .
On a typical day you will be;
- Participating in activities / hobbies - he is very independent, happy, and smiley, loves trips out to local café’s pubs, and planned days out like the cinema.
- He loves attending to his daily living tasks such as laundry and cooking, attends college once a week.
- Completing daily care plans, taking into consideration his wants and needs.
- Ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are met and protecting his rights to live safely and free from abuse or neglect
- He requires structure and would enjoy a Support Worker who plans fun days out and varied activities.
Our ideal candidate:
- Must have a positive and caring nature
- Be empathic
- Energetic and understanding
- Ability to adapt to difficult situations and be resilient
- Be willing to spend lots of time outdoors
- Needs to understand routine, have a sense of humour be proactive, using own their initiative.
- Understandings of Robins Syndrome, Autism, Learning disabilities are needed
