Practice Nurse  

Bupa Onsite Clinic, Citigroup, Canary Wharf, E14 5LB

The nearest tubes Canary Wharf, accessed via the Elizabeth Line, Jubilee Line and DLR lines

Part time – 24 hours per week (08:30am – 17:30hrs Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday’s)

Salary starting at £45,000 per annum (Pro-rata) dependent on experience

We have an amazing opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our multidisciplinary and dedicated team at Bupa Onsite Clinic, Citigroup based in Canary Wharf.

You’ll help us make health happen by: 

  • Work as a Practice Nurse in an MDT within an extremely busy Medical Centre in a large Corporate Setting.
  • Run a treatment service for minor injuries and medical conditions in conjunction with the on-site General Practitioner and where appropriate to liaise with them.
  • Assist the on-site first aid team and security team with first aid care and emergency care.
  • To provide immunizations and travel health advice.
  • To contribute to the attendance at work of employees by identifying the most appropriate treatments for individuals, or onward referral where appropriate.
  • Able to use standard office equipment and general medical equipment e.g. Keystone Vision Screener, defibrillators, etc.
  • Women’s health – cervical screening.
  • To provide additional products, such as menopause, sexual health, stop smoking and any other requests that meet business needs.
  • To manage and maintain appropriate stock levels through various ordering systems.
  • Help to ensure a safe work environment.

Experience and knowledge:  

  • Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.
  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
  • At least 3 years practice nurse experience.
  • Competent with ECG’s, venepuncture, travel vaccination, ear irrigation and female health.
  • Experience of working with Travel health and smear test.
  • Post registration experience preferably in A&E or Primary Care. (Desired)
  • Practice nurse qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

 Key Skills:  

  • Post registration experience preferably in A&E or Primary Care.

  • First level (Adult) RN.
  • Good communication (verbal & written).
  • Basic counselling/interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate good presentation skills and report writing.
