Night Care Assistant

We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our friendly, welcoming team at our prestigious Extra Care scheme, Quayside, in Totnes. We have a vacancy to work nights from (9.30pm – 7.30am ), 3 nights one week, 4 nights the next week. 

What is typical night like as Care Assistant with Guinness?

When you are supporting people, no two nights are ever the same!  You will be caring for our customers, who live in their own flat, you will be on hand to:

• Answer customers calls for support during the night.
• Assisting our customers with medication and delivering personal care
• Providing high quality, responsive and person-centred services that meet the needs of our customers ensuring they have a choice and control over their lives.
• This role is lone working, with support available via on-call if needed.

What do you need to be a Night Care Assistant?

• You need to be caring, respectful, and dedicated to improving the lives of our customers. 
• You should be comfortable providing personal care (washing, showering, toileting, etc).
• Ideally you will have some care experience for this role, but this is not essential as full training is given.
