About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Female Support Workers to join our team, working in a dynamic and supportive hospital environment in Beckton. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring high-quality care and support. As an Agency Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care, fostering independence, and promoting well-being.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide high-quality care and support tailored to the needs of individuals.

  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.

  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent and effective care.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all individuals.

  • Support individuals in managing challenging behaviours using approved techniques.


Essential Criteria:



  • Mandatory Training: Up-to-date training certificates aligned with healthcare standards.

  • PMVA Training: Current certification in Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA).

  • Oliver McGowan Training: Evidence of completion of training in learning disability and autism awareness.

  • Immunisations/Vaccinations: Proof of immunisations, including but not limited to Varicella, MMR, and Tuberculosis, as requested.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hospital or care setting.

  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and shift patterns.


Desirable Criteria:



  • Experience working with individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, or complex care requirements.
