Children In Care Service – Empowering Young Lives

Are you passionate about helping young people? We have a fantastic opportunity within our Youth Voice Team to join and elevate the voices of children, young people, and families to shape services directly affecting their lives.

We are dedicated to elevating the voices of children, young people, and families to shape services directly affecting their lives. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference, grow professionally and engage in diverse responsibilities for a dynamic work experience.

As a Young Carers Voice Worker, you will encourage young individuals and professionals to actively participate in the shaping of youth lead services. You will empower young carers and young adult carers in advocating for issues faced by children and young adults providing care to loved ones. You will do this through establishing strong networks with internal key stakeholders and broader partnership to ensure that the voices of young carers and young adult carers are integral in decision-making, participation and collaborative efforts.

We are looking for a candidate educated to an NVQ Level 4 or to hold equivalent experience in Social Care, health or a youth work environment. You will have a strong commitment to carers and understand factors that affect their lives, as well as experience of working directly with children and young people. The ability to manage difficult situations in a calm and productive way and awareness of relevant legislation and national guidelines around your carers and young adult carers is essential.
