Salary: Up to £60,000, Depending on experience

Person Specification:

• RMN qualification with an active UK NMC PIN.


• Previous experience within a Ward Nurse Manager or similar managerial role.


• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations.


• Proven experience in managing, motivating, and recruiting staff.


• Understanding of staff induction, supervision, and appraisal processes.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Main Duties:

• Lead and manage the ward team, ensuring clinical and managerial standards are upheld.


• Conduct staff supervisions, annual appraisals, and personal development plans.


• Resolve patient, family, and carer concerns to maintain high levels of satisfaction.


• Organize and lead monthly ward meetings, ensuring team communication is clear and effective.


• Recruit, manage, and retain staff in line with service values and performance goals.


• Oversee duty rotas, ensuring adequate staffing and skill mix for patient care needs.


• Monitor and achieve key performance indicators related to quality, safety, and resources.


• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and proactively report incidents or trends.


• Participate in the hospital's on-call system and handle out-of-hours responsibilities as needed.
