Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Are you a positive and motivated person who loves going the extra mile to improve the lives of others?

Is it important for you to have a satisfying job where you feel supported?

If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for!

At our Uphall service, we support vulnerable adults living in their own home to live the best lives possible by providing person-centred support to promote their independence.

Each person we support has their own support plan, which details what support they require, so you can expect to provide support in all aspects of their daily lives.  This might include helping with personal care, medication administration, financial support, attending community groups, preparing meals and attending social activities.

We are looking for flexible and reliable individuals who are keen to support people to build their independent living skills.  The people we support have different communication styles, so the ability to communicate clearly is very important.

We provide support from Monday - Sunday and are currently recruiting for a part-time role for 22.5 hours per week, predominantly working day shifts.  We are also recruiting for a bank role.

Having a UK driving license is not mandatory but would be a bonus as the gentlemen we support share a house vehicle.

Your values:

The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun!

We like people who are reliable and honest and are able to remain calm under pressure, so they can support people effectively and build fantastic relationships.
