Support worker-Housing

Corela recruitment have partnered with a leading NI charity to recruit for a part time Housing support worker, based in their Belfast service.

Role: Support Worker-Housing

Hours: 25h/week

Salary: £25.545(pro-rata)

Employment type: permanent

Purpose of the role:

To deliver a housing related service to people with a Physical disability, brain injury or Sensory impairment, who require housing related support.

Please note: Personal care is not required for this role.

Essential criteria:

RQF level 2 qualification or equivalent

Minimum 1 year experience of providing support to people with disabilities or other vulnerable groups

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Right to work in the UK

Proficient in the use of Outlook, Microsoft word, excel etc.

Some of the responsibilities include:

-          Assessment of need for housing support.

-          Create an individual plan detailing all housing support goals

-          Support to ensure full receipt of benefits, grants etc

-          Financial management

-          Support to access local facilities(GP, dentist etc)

-          Support to identify suitable employment opportunities, training and/or education providers

-          Support and assistance to establish a routing for daily living skills

-          Advice and support on use of technology.
