This an exciting opportunity for caring, compassionate and talented Support Workers, to work within a well-established service, supporting 6 people, with learning disabilities and some have epilepsy. This service will be supporting people, promoting their choices, wellbeing and independence.
This service is a 7 bedroom house, with a guest room for the staff. There are many shared spaces within this service - living room, kitchen and conservatory, where the people supported here like to watch tv, enjoy crafts and eat together.
The people supported here enjoy going for walks, visiting their family, going shopping, eating out and watching tv. Some also like to try new activities and say that the best people to support them would be people with a sense of humour, outgoing, motivated and people who genuinely take an interest in what the people supported like to do.
There are always 3-4 staff members on at any one time, depending on the 1:1 hours. Typical shifts at this service are - 7:30-22:00 & sleep, 22:30 - 07:30, 16:00-22:00 & 10:00 - 22:00.
