Job Description

We are looking for two Part Time Senior Care Assistants for our Lincoln branch.  The hours of work will be Week 1 – Monday thru Thursday – 7am – 10pm & Week 2 – Thursday thru Sunday – 7am – 10pm. (20 hours per week)

To perform a variety of duties to ensure that our clients receive the appropriate support and high-quality care service they deserve.

The Role.

  • Reporting to the Registered Care Director.
  • Support with reviews/spot checks
  • Maintain accurate Client and Care Professional records within our care management software.
  • Conduct initial introductions.
  • Deliver care
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing clients, their families and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Support and mentor Care Professionals.
  • Maintain regular contact with Care Professionals.
  • Participate in “on-call” duties as and when required
  • Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
  • Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.

 Criteria.

  • Capable of setting high personal/professional standards so our Care Professionals take the lead from you.
  • Experience in the care sector delivering a wide range of personal care services.
  • Experience working with MAR charts and medication in a supervisory role.
  • Passion for delivering the highest quality care to our clients and helping them to live independently and happily in their own homes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations specific to Health and Social Care.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Must be confident in the use of care management technology including providing support and training to Care Professionals when using remote care applications.
  • Must understand the importance of confidentiality working within current legislation.

 

Qualifications

Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care preferred but not essential
