Job Role: Residential Support Worker, Children's Home

Location: Burnley, Lancashire 

Salary: Up to £34K with enhancements

Sleeps ins: 10 to 11 per month 

Shifts: 2 on 4 off

Service: Children’s Residential Care Home

Service Users: Young People age 6 to 17, Emotional Behaviour Disorder

Seeking enthusiastic candidates to join the team in one of their children's residential homes. This role offers a competitive salary, including benefits such as a quality bespoke training package and generous remuneration for sleep-in shifts. They specialise in providing support to Children and Young People who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse, and may exhibit challenging behaviours.

Main Duties:



  • Work collaboratively as a team member to provide young people with various activities, support, care, and guidance using a positive parenting model.

  • Follow guidance from the Team Leader and senior colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home, providing structure and appropriate boundaries for the young people in their care.

  • Maintain a flexible approach to shift patterns, accommodating changes to the rota at short notice.

  • Ensure that all risks are safely managed following company policies and procedures.

  • Undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package.

  • Act as an advocate for the young person using a positive parenting model.

  • Attend staff meetings and actively contribute to the development and improvement of the service model.
