The provider:

They are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for the children in their care. This is their primary aim; to create a warm, nurturing environment that supports the safety, growth, and development of the children under their care. Their caregiving approach is influenced by the PACE model underpinned by Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. Their relationships with children are informed by an attachment and trauma-informed approach, as they believe these approaches best explain human growth and development and their response to adverse circumstances. Their staff are trained in attachment and trauma-informed approaches, influencing their understanding of the children’s behaviours and supporting their engagement with them from initial assessment through to review and evaluation of intervention. Their commissioned therapeutic partnership with Enabling Hope supports the development of their children and staff teams through direct work and consultations.

Purpose:
The Waking Night Residential Childcare Worker (NRCW) is responsible for ensuring that the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological, and social needs of the children are met consistently to a high standard. The NRCW will comply fully with all statutory and regulatory guidance in conjunction with the organization’s policies, procedures, and practices. Under the direction of the management team, the NRCW will deliver therapeutic caregiving. The NRCW will work on a night shift pattern, but may also include days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleeping-in duties, and subject to risk assessment – lone working.
