Job Advert: Nursery Manager
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000



Are you an experienced and passionate Early Years Manager ready to lead a dynamic team? We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager to join an award-winning group of day nurseries. Our client’s nursery provides high-quality childcare in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, supporting children to reach their full potential.


 


As the Nursery Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered at all times. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children. This role requires excellent leadership and management skills, as well as a genuine passion for Early Years education.


 


Essential Requirements:


Qualifications


  • Level 3 or above in Early Years

Experience


  • At least two years of post-qualification experience in an Early Years setting, with experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager.

Knowledge


  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted inspections

Skills


  • Excellent communication, leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, with a genuine passion for Early Years education.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership & Management:
    Take responsibility for the overall management of the nursery, leading staff and ensuring a positive, professional working environment.

  • Safeguarding:
    Act as the named person in charge, ensuring safeguarding, health and safety practices, and child protection protocols are strictly followed.

  • Operational Excellence:
    Manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring the nursery meets all regulatory requirements and delivers high-quality care and education.

  • Family Engagement:
    Build strong relationships with parents and carers, fostering open communication and involving families in the children’s learning journey.

  • Staff Development:
    Train, coach, and mentor the nursery team, implementing a robust performance management strategy to ensure continuous improvement.
