Live-in Care Assistant

We are looking for four Live-in Care Assistants to match with new clients joining us in Stockport. You must be available to start within the next two weeks. Please note one client has a pet cat.

Please note you must be able to attend training and shadowing shifts in Stockport prior to the start date, so you must live locally and be able to travel reliably.

As a Live In Carer, you will be paid £910 per week. In addition to this you will receive a £60 meal allowance each week, along with a separate room to stay in at your client's home and excellent training. For any driving you do whilst on placement for your client, you will be paid 35p per mile.

Whilst with a client you can expect to work on average 8-10 hours per day, although this may vary depending on the needs of your client. You will get a break of at least 2 hours each afternoon, where another carer will be present.

We'll always be on hand to support - you'll receive daily check-ins, excellent training delivered by a Registered Nurse, regular support visits, and you can reach us any time on our 24hr on-call phone.

Responsibilities:

• Get to know your client, and understand how you can best support their daily routine to allow them to live their life to the fullest.
• Assist with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and medication.
• Ensure the home is clean and tidy, aiding with housekeeping duties such as washing dishes, hoovering and laundry.
• Act as a companion, and enrich your client's life by spending time with them, socialising, and doing fun activities together.
• Cook your client's favourite meals and support them at meal times.
• Complete accurate notes and records, informing the office of any concerns.

Requirements:

• Friendly personality, able to build trusting relationships
• Reliability and trustworthiness
• Any care-related experience, whether professional or personal, is advantageous
• Ability to commit to a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off pattern
• Your own Right To Work - unfortunately, we do not have a licence for sponsorship so this is not something we can offer
• Must live nearby and be able to commute to the Stockport office for training and shadowing
