To compliment their work and take our teams’ knowledge and ability to higher and higher levels, we’re recruiting for an Internal Trainer from our current workforce.

The Role:

Reporting to our L&D Manager within the People Team, you’ll deliver planned training, ad-hoc training, lead workshops and mentor those who are developing.  The role will influence so much of the crucial work we do with those entrusted into our care.  Subject matter ranges across (but is not exhaustive):

  • PACB
  • First Aid
  • An evolving range of trauma-informed learning
  • Health & Safety
  • On the job inductions
  • Administration & systems training

Essential:

  • An impeccable work record and at least 6 months successful experience as a Support Worker with PCG (must have successfully passed your probationary period)
  • Has a natural ability to coach and mentor as well as being able to deliver engaging instructional training through to trauma-informed learning
  • Up to date PACB and all required courses and learnings
  • The role will be very mobile so you’ll be happy with staying away from home and regular to travel to the North, South, Midlands and head office
  • Comfortable working 37.5 hours per week, over 5 days, which could include working weekends so flexibility is key.
  • Has a positive, solutions-based, can do attitude and approach to your work coupled with the soft skills needed to be an all-round Trainer and mentor

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience as a Deputy Manager or Team Manager at PCG
  • Experience of writing and delivering training across multiple subject matter areas
  • An L&D, Education and Training qualification
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching
