Driver - Support Worker (company car)

Supported Living Service in Spalding, Holbeach PE12

Pay: £11.90 per hour (overtime rate of £12.40)

Working hours: part-time/full-time

This position involves driving the company car (kept on site) and candidates must meet the following criteria to be fully insured:

  • Have a valid UK driving licence (manual) and have had this for a period longer than 2 years (or less, subject to the insurer's approval)
  • Are over 25 years old
  • Are under 70 years old

We are looking for a Driver/Support Worker to drive service users in the company vehicle, so a valid UK driving licence is essential.

We specialise in providing person-centred care for adults with a Forensic mental health background, challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and autism to enable them to play a meaningful part within their community. You will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding care to the people we support. Our supported living service is a short drive from Spalding and Holbeach stations and has on-site parking.


  • Experience with working with people with Mental health , Autism, Challenging behvaiours and Learning Disabilities
  • People who have used restraint or would be comfortable being trained to use restraint

Desirable:

  • Experience working with either a forensic mental health , supported living or residential setting
  • Can evidence NVQ qualification in social care or Care Certificate – Training can be provided
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of diabetes or worked with individuals with diabetes – Training can be provided
  • Have a valid driving licence
  • Live within a 30-minute commute / drive to the service address
  • Have a driving licence

  • Fully paid 2-week induction and clinical training (at the rate of £11.90 p/h)
  • PMVA training
  • Fully paid DBS check to start employment, you will then be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service and maintain an annual subscription (at a minimal cost of £13 per year)
