Hourly Rate: £19.50 - £20.50


Mixed Shifts


Hours per week: 37.62

Requirements for the Band 5 Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse role:


  • You must have a Registered Nurse Qualification (RNLD)

  • Valid UK NMC Pin

  • Clear DBS

About the Mental Health Hospital:


Our client offers specialist care to children and younger people who have mental health needs, this is provided in a beautiful manor house. The service has three separate units and can cater to those who have an eating disorder, complex conditions or who require PICU services. There is an onsite school which covers Key Stage 3 through to A-Levels!

The role of a Band 5 Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse within the Mental Health Hospital involves:


  • Ensuring the care, welfare and safety of all patients is maintained at the highest possible standard.

  • Completing physical/psychological assessments of new patient on admission.

  • Creating individualised care plans for patients.

  • Updating care plans daily.

  • Safely administering and recording of medication.

  • Liaising effectively with external suppliers and health care providers.

  • Monitoring and developing performance of care staff

  • Ensuring effective rotas are in place.

  • Use a person-centred approach to ensure every individual’s needs are understood and met with the greatest privacy, dignity, and respect.
