As a Care Assistant at a our care home, you'll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. You'll assist with daily living, providing support and companionship and sharing great moments and memories too. It's a chance to bring your dedication and compassion to a fulfilling environment. As a Care Assistant, you could be doing anything from supporting residents with their food and drink and following care plans to ensuring that each of our residents has one-to-one time. Our positions will suit both female or male that are ideally qualified to Level 2 is Health and Social Care.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Home Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day care and support of our residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents with mobility and physical activities.
  • Plan in activities with management and support residents attending.
  • Administer medication as required and directed by health care professionals.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Assist with meal preparation.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident's health and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
  • Implementing behaviour management techniques when required

This position is offered as 25 hours per week with ability to extend once in post. Ideally we are looking for flexibility and can offer 2 x 12 hour shifts per week starting 8am and finishing 8pm. We are flexible across what days.

Requirements:

  • Genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Must be located in the UK with the right to work (sponsorship not provided).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals under care.
  • Compassionate nature and a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for others.

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Home care: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ level 2-3 (preferred)
