Job Description

Here at Bluebird Care Mendip we are seeking an individual to join our Live-In Care team covering a period of upcoming team holidays. The working pattern will be 1 week on, 1 week off.

It would be advantageous to drive and have your own vehicle as our customer needs to gain community access and be taken out to various appointments.

The role of a Live-in Carer is similar to other Care roles with one notable exception, you are not a visitor, but a key part of the household. We assist our customers to maintain their independence and lifestyle, whilst remaining safe in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities include assisting, enabling and mobilising, providing personal care, providing food and refreshment, bed making, laundry and domestic duties, socialising and companionship, administering medication and contributing to record keeping.

Key Requirements:

  • Long term commitment required to provide live-in care
  • Be caring and friendly with excellent communication skills
  • Professional and dedicated
  • You must be able to hold a lively conversation in English.
  • Have 3 suitable references (professional and/or educational)
  • Be prepared to go through necessary personal background checks
  • Be fluent in English both written and verbal
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • It is desirable to have a driving licence
