Rates of pay £9.37 per hour

Hours to be discussed at interview
Support the Care Manager to ensure each resident has a person-centred care plan and personal care is provided in a sensitive and discreet manner. To include assisting residents out of bed on a morning and into bed on an evening, washing, bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting mobility, also assisting with toileting where needed.
Ensure that accurate, relevant and current records are maintained by all care workers
Respond calmly and take immediate action in the event of an emergency
Report any concerns or changes regarding the needs of the residents to the Care Manger
Ensure medication is given in accordance with care plans and risk assessments. All records are accurate and up to date and maintained
Attend all necessary training to ensure competence in all areas
Actively support residents in sustaining existing and new relationships with families friends and neighbours and encourage participation in activities to promote social interactions
Provide an escort service to enable residents to access the wider community
Encourage residents to regain and maintain life skills including making choices and retaining control of their own lives
Support residents to retain their personal cultural and spiritual identity
Comply with all SHCA policies and procedures
Maintain constant high levels of customer care
Liaise with families, health professionals and other interested parties
Participate in the general management and administration of SHCA
Attend general meetings of SHCA
Perform household and domestic tasks including, shopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning kitchen surfaces and floors, cleaning bathroom surfaces, laundry and ironing. Also assisting with finances and paying bills.
Preparing meals and drinks
Promote and uphold the rights and dignity of all residents.
Respect privacy and dignity at all times
Any other duties required
