Main duties and responsibilities:
To participate in the day to day implementation of the individual’s support plans and activities within a challenging environment
To maintain effective communication and liaise with the service users, families and other staff members whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
To prepare meals, do cleaning and laundry duties
To maintain accurate notes and records when required
To work as part of a team to provide high quality care
Personal care is required.
Hunters Lodge has free on-site parking, and also has excellent transport links being a 10 minute walk from the station and also just only 2 minute walk from the bus stop! At Hunters Lodge, the established and friendly staffing team support 12 Service Users who have learning disabilities, mental health, autism and epilepsy.
The Service Users at Hunters Lodge are very active. They enjoy going to the cinema, theatre, attending football matches, going for meals out and much more… When in the service, they enjoy socialising together in their fantastic garden, arts and crafts, music sessions, aromatherapy sessions, table top games and simply relaxing in their communal lounge!
Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one.
Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
The ability to keep calm under pressure.
The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills
The passion to work with vulnerable adults
The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
