East Kent Mencap are thrilled to announce that our services are expanding into the Shepway area!
We have an opportunity for a full-time female support worker* to provide person-centred services to a range of client groups, including people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health concerns and the elderly.
Previous experience of supporting ANY of these inviduals is highly desirable, but comprehensive training will also be provided to successful applicants.
In line with individuals' person-centred plans and support plans, you will work with our clients to provide high quality support or care (depending on needs) in the following areas:
* accessing the community
* personal care
* maintaining good health
Our ideal candidates will demonstrate an empowering and friendly attitude and ideally possess previous experience of working in a similar setting. However, we will also consider applications from people with a positive attitude and transferable skills.
We offer a full induction and training programme, and the successful candidate will be supported to take the Care Certificate or NVQ qualifications if needed. We also offer a bespoke salary progression framework, a generous holiday (28 days, increasing to 35 with length of service) and sickness allowance as well as a pension scheme.
Drivers with access to their own vehicle are essential for this post and mileage will be reimbursed at 40p per mile.
