Housing Support Worker £18,632 Peterborough We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Support or Housing worker to develop their knowledge and skills in this interesting and varied sector. You will carry a caseload of service users who are in temporary accommodation, supporting them with sourcing move-on accommodation, benefits applications, life skills and everyday needs, and possibly giving support and further sign-posting for additional drug and alcohol misuse or mental health needs. You will have some relevant experience, ideally from within a Housing or Care related support background. You will need to be confident in dealing with people with behaviours that challenge, and will need to be comfortable setting boundaries. You will need to be a driver with your own vehicle. The role would really suit someone who is looking to get a solid grounding across a range of support needs including homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol misuse and other associated needs.
