The Beech House is a Ofsted rated "Good" residential care home for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We are a therapeutic home and all staff receive regular training on working in a care home, dealing with young people's challenging behaviours and emotional needs.
We also have a school on site and provide a holistic approach to getting the young people's needs met. The home is for up to 6 young people and we have a very strong team of residential care workers, waking night staff, teachers, therapists and management.
The role will be very varied with a primiary focus on safeguarding our young people and supporting them to thrive and acheive their goals. As a senior member of the team, you will be a key worker for one of our young people. This will involve taking responsibility for their care plans, and making decisions, attending meetings, ensuring their paperwork is up to date, liaisng with third parties and ensuring the whole team can support them. Coupled with coming up with new strategies, working closely with the young person and ensuring they are well supported, happy and cared for.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar setting and is able to work in line with various policies and risk assessments.Ideally someone who has a therapeutic approach to child care is also an important attribute.
The role will also involve shift leading and working closely with management on the smooth running of the home. We would like someone who holds a level 3 social care qualification and has worked in a senior capacity at another EBD home.
