Our mission is to make ageing a more enjoyable and rewarding experience for all involved. Our care professionals have a huge role to play in making it happen.
Care is amazing. Great quality care can transform a moment, a day, even a relationship. That’s why we believe care should be about making people feel understood, valued and supported. About enabling people to live their best life for as long as possible.
Our amazing care assistants are roll-your-sleeves-up, supportive, positive, honest, warm and committed kind of people. The kind of people who love to help others get the most out of life.
You’ll be caring for older people in their own homes, supporting them in all sorts of ways. From taking them out and about, to doing the weekly shop, from medication support to personal and dementia care, it’s all similar to what you’d expect to provide for your own family and loved ones.
You don’t need any previous experience to join our Radfield Home Care team in Shrewsbury as a Dementia companion / Care assistant. You’ll get all the training you need. You will need a UK driver’s licence, be over the age of 18 and have access to a vehicle.
We’d also love to hear from you if you’ve got previous care experience in roles such as caregiver, care home assistant, care worker, support worker, healthcare assistant, home care assistant, carer and care home worker.
We offer all the things you’d expect. Like flexible working hours, weekend working premium, paid mileage and travel time. And some things you might not expect, like the fact we pay travel at the same rate as care – you won’t find that with all providers. You also get company paid holiday, sick pay scheme and pension entitlement. Extensive training is provided & paid for, as well as free uniform and free DBS check.

Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury has been a valued organisation in the local community since 2008 when it was started by Dr Hannah MacKechnie & Alex Green, after realising there was a real need for high quality care services in the area.
Hannah and Alex both grew up in Radfield Residential Home, established by their parents in 1982 as a boutique care home in Shrewsbury. Hannah was working as a GP in Shropshire and kept hearing stories of how home care agencies were not delivering and caring for their clients well enough - so with her experience and understanding of good quality care, she, along with her brother, set up Radfield Home Care. It was and continues to be a success, having a fantastic reputation locally for our approach to patient care, along with flexibility and responsiveness we are able to our every client and their relatives.
