Our client works with young people aged 16-25 in a hostel setting who are at risk of homelessness, helping young people across England.
The key activities for the youth support worker are:
* The youth worker will support young people to identify their strengths and aspirations
* To assist young people to improve their life skills through designing and implementing life and social skills programmes
* To encourage and motivate young people to engage with and sustain education, training and employment opportunities.
The ideal candidate for the youth support worker will:
* Hold experience of working with young people in an hostel , probation, education or residential setting
* Hold up to date knowledge of welfare rights
* Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills and open to new ideas and change and implement change to young people
