Bosun Care Ltd

Bosun Care Ltd is a domiciliary and supported living company that works with adults with mental health needs and complex issues including substance miss-use, self-harm, learning difficulties and eating disorders.

We have services in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Staffordshire and Wiltshire with trained, compassionate staff who work hard to enable our service users to manage their day-to-day tasks with as much autonomy as possible.

We have been working hard since we started in 2016 and over the years, we have seen steady growth.  We are very excited to be having several more services opening within the next 12 months.  Bosun Care Ltd has a consistent group of dedicated, trained staff who by using their individual skills enable the service users to be empowered and have a voice regarding their care.  Specific care packages can be challenging and can also be very rewarding for both the service user and the staff on a daily basis.

Our staff turnover is very low, and we have been extremely fortunate to have the calibre of staff that we have recruited.  They come with a wide range of skills, and this helps our company grow in ability and availability for the local councils and our NHS colleagues.  We can then continue to help our colleagues provide the care that is needed and looking towards making people’s lives better. Our recruitment continues with a steady pace from social media platforms and word of mouth.  We find that our staff values and dedication remain high even in these challenging times.

Our domiciliary care and outreach services works in conjunction with the local NHS providers, and together we find the right care pathway for the individual.  We are passionate about providing correct, mindful, and appropriate care to the patient in their own home.  Our staff are trained to be able to manage circumstances from getting a service user up in the morning, bathed and dressed, fed to helping them with their shopping, taking them out for a day or arranging for medical appointments and hospitals visits.

Our staff understand that domiciliary care is much more than a physical job, it is something that helps maintain the individual’s dignity, self-respect, and emotional well-being.  Our service users are people first and service users second.

Our Wiltshire service is specifically for acquired brain injury and is one of the first in the country to be working with such a complex need and we are extremely excited to be granted this opportunity to expand into this area of care.

Whilst some of our service users are in need of financial and medical assistance, we again, help them to take control of their own requirements.  This is done by our staff guiding them to make the decisions that serves the individual in the best way possible.

We are always working towards our services users taking control of their own lives and help them work towards living independently.

We are proud to be able to provide a service that can change a persons’ life for the better.
